In 1994, a series of homeowners including Judy Naef placed a Masonite siding class action suit. The plaintiffs brought the case as a class action suit against Masonite Hardboard Siding. This class action suit includes all individuals who have had the Hardboard Siding installed/incorporated into their home or structures between Jan. 1, 1980 to Jan. 15, 1998.
Within the Masonite siding class action suit, negligence, breach of warranties and fraud are expressed. Allegedly, the hardboard siding installed during this time eventually discolors, buckles, rots, deteriorates and causes damages to the structures in which it was installed. Thus, the plaintiffs have had to suffer additional damage costs.
The Masonite siding class action suit includes any homeowner who had Masonite siding installed between the defined dates and have owned the property.
